Yoon Miran graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Hongik University and its graduate school, later studying at the San Francisco Art Institute and KALA Institute in Berkeley. She also served as a professor at Hongik University. Starting with her first solo exhibition at Kwanhoon Gallery in 1983, Yoon held 18 solo exhibitions in Korea, the United States, and Japan, continuing to explore abstract art through the material properties of Hanji. She won the Excellence Award at the Korean Printmakers Association Competition in 1982 and the Grand Prize at the Seoul International Print Biennale in 1983. Her works are held in collections including the National Museum of Modern Art and Hoam Art Museum.
